Our client, a Residential Support Centre offering support and accommodation to families and children, have a current requirement for a Supported Housing Officer on an initial temporary basis for six months.
Based in Ilford the scheme offers accommodation, support, and monitoring for families in need of assistance. As a Supported Housing Officer you will be integral in assisting residents from initial settling in to the completion of tenure.
- Assisting residents with Housing Benefit or Universal Credit Applications and any other benefits entitlement.
- Assisting residents to maximise income and benefits entitlement.
- Working with residents to meet objectives set out in their housing and well-being plans.
- Ensuring all reasonable measures are taken to ensure the security, health and safety of residents in the scheme.
- Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies.
- Manage void properties to ensure the quickest re-let times.
- Follow Safeguarding procedures and report concerns proactively.

Previous experience of providing housing and benefit advice in a housing or residential setting is an essential requirement.
