Anti-Slavery Policy – Jan 2023

Introduction

The term ‘Modern slavery’ relates to slavery, forced labour and human trafficking. Tempest Resourcing has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of slavery in all business and personal dealings. Tempest is committed to the prevention of slavery and human trafficking in all its forms and will not condone it in any part of the business or end user client sites. We are dedicated to working with integrity, transparency and acting ethically as well as putting effective processes and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery. Due to the type of work being carried out and the type of labour, permanent/ agency migrant workers tend to be at higher risk because they are more likely to lack support networks.

Our Business

Tempest Resourcing operate in the UK only and provide temporary and permanent staffing solutions to Social Work and Education Sectors. Whether we’re providing skilled staff to cover maternity, illness, to boost a workforce or for the completion of a short-term project, as we provide to the Social Care Sector, we will ensure that we safeguard our candidates and direct recipients of the care our staff provide.

Our Policies

We operate within the guidelines of our internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:
  • Modern Slavery statement
  • Whistleblowing policy
  • Quality assurance policy
  • Corporate Social Responsibility policy
  • Environmental Policy
  • Health & Safety policy

Our Performance Indicators

We will know the effectiveness of the steps and policies we have put in place to ensure that human trafficking/ slavery is not taking place at all within the business or end user clients if:
  • We receive no reports from employees, the public, clients directly or law enforcement agencies
  • Any concerns from candidates about themselves or anyone operating in the end user site
