We have had an exciting opportunity become available, to join a team covering Bromley and Penge as a Neighbourhood Officer.
This is a full time, temporary position with an initial contract period of 3 months. Hybrid work pattern, one day in office per week. As a Neighbourhood Officer you will work collaboratively with other teams, residents groups and external partners; ensuring estates are clean, safe and well maintained, and improvements are identified, planned and delivered, to ensure that the neighbourhoods are places that residents want to live
Requirements
- Experience of providing good customer service
- Experience of dealing with customers in person
- Customer focused
- Enjoys working with people in the community
- Confident and able to work alone
- Demonstrates the ability and motivation to learn quickly and achieve results
- Excellent communication skills
- Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
- Able to work early evenings and occasional weekends if required
Role Expectations
- To deliver a customer focused housing management service to the community
- Deliver a programme of regular estate inspections and prioritising fire safety risk assessment follow up work.
- Work with local residents groups to develop local community facilities, activities and events as part of a neighbourhood plan and local offers.
- Work collaboratively with local partners such as safer neighbourhood teams, the voluntary sector and youth services on neighbourhood safety and ASB issues, for ad hoc or routine meetings as appropriate
- Carry out property and estate inspections and resolve any issues identified
- Conduct viewings and sign ups or tenancy assignments
- Ensure tenants properties and estates comply with legislation and agreed standards
- Work alongside the community to develop community-based solutions
- Serve relevant legal notices in accordance with policies and procedures
Essential car user role, basic DBS required.
